Introduction to SaaS PDF Imprimir Correo electrónico

SaaS, short for Software as a Service is a term that is becoming more and more popular. What it means is that rather than buying software, you operate it as a service.

Basically what it really represents is a paradigm shift from what has been standard practice for the past 30 years, of having to buy hardware to run your applications, having to support them, having to protect it, and turning this into a service, that you basically rent the application in most cases in a month to month basis.

Like most of the lately coined Internet terms, SaaS can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, for us at Imbarco what it means is that you hire a service from us, be it a CRM for your sales team, a Project Management application, task management, and you forget about having to operate this platform. You focus on running your business, and we will focus on the application working properly for you. We will keep extremely high uptimes for our systems, and have a very large amount of backups of our applications in multiple secure locations, so you don't have to. This way, if you ever have an issue with your facilities, software will not be one of the problems you need to deal with.
